Egyptians protest against beatings of women – Middle East – Al Jazeera English.
Recent video of a woman being dragged and beaten by Egyptian soldiers caused an uproar among women in the country who came out in the thousands to protest the treatment of female demonstrators.
Many Egyptians have risked personal safety and their lives to rally for a democratic government in their country. There were massive celebrations after the Mubarak regime was overthrown earlier this year, however protests began again in the fall against the interim military government.
